The film is being published on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, who has become a source of inspiration for acid attack victims, with Deepika Padukone working in it. Recently Deepika released her first look from this film. Here, Lakshmi also spoke to us openly about the film and her life.
At that time, he was only 15 years old and had a dream of becoming a successful singer. Only one 'N' burned all their dreams to ashes. A madcap lover has an acid attack on Lakshmi Agarwal and destroys all her dreams. Laxmi's face was spoiled, but he could not bury her spirits. Today, Lakshmi has become an inspiration for girls who have suffered acid attacks in the country. Lakshmi's life story written with pain and courage will soon be seen on the screen. The shooting of Laxmi biopic Chhapak has started. Lakshmi shared with us the story of the acid attack in Delhi, from her decision to remain in a live-in relationship to coming on the film screen.

This was not an issue before 2013
Lakshmi, who received the International Woman of Courage Award in 2014 from Michelle Obama, wife of former US President Barack Obama, who attended the London Fashion Week in 2016, says, "A biopic is being made on me." I am not so happy about it, as much as I am happy that the issue of acid attack is being raised through the film. The good thing is that Meghna Gulzar is directing it. Deepika Padukone is playing my character and is also producing it. People are more impressed by watching movies. Before 2013, this was not an issue. How many girls have committed death due to an acid attack? Thankfully, now it is discussed. This film of mine will raise awareness among people.

Will go to see the film shooting
Lakshmi says, 'In 2016, I agreed to my biopic. Its shooting has started two days ago in Delhi. I will try to be present on the shoot. Although it will be difficult to manage. I keep traveling because of my campaign. The daughter is also very young, but I will take the time to watch the shooting. Vikrant Massey is playing the character of my live-in partner in the film.

That's how life changed
Says Lakshmi, 'The thing is 2005 when I was 15 years old and studying in the seventh grade. A person twice my age proposed to me for marriage. When I refused, he threw acid at me. On the morning of 22 April 2005, I was going to a book store in Khan Market that the young man came with his younger brother's girlfriend and pushed me. When I fell on the road, he threw acid on me. I immediately covered the eyes with my hands, which saved my eyes. After that, I was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for more than two months. After coming home from the hospital, when I saw the mirror, I realized that my life is now devastated. This accident scattered not only me but my whole family. Shortly after this incident both father and brother passed away.

Happy that jigger is with
About four years ago, Lakshmi decided to live in a live-in with Alok Dixit, working for Acid Survivors. Today, Laxmi, who is raising her daughter alone, says that love is a beautiful feeling. When, where and with whom it happens, nothing can be said. The same thing happened to me and Alok. Alok met during a campaign to stop acid attacks. Then we fell in love with each other. We were not married but were in life in relation. We have a daughter Pihu. Now I and Alok are not together. I am a single mother today. Alok felt separated when he felt that he had to separate. The way we happily came together also separated us. Now I want to give my campaign and daughter full time. She has started going to the playgroup.
